Behavioral Health Services

Welcome to Duval Family Health Center

At Duval Family Health Center, we understand that mental and emotional health are just important as physical health. Life can be overwhelming at times, and asking for help isn’t always easy—but you don’t have to do it alone. As originally part of Sulzbacher’s Health Division, our behavioral health services are built on decades of experience caring for individuals and families across Jacksonville. We provide respectful, compassionate care to people from all walks of life, meeting you where you are and supporting you with dignity.

You Are Welcome Here

If you are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, or major life changes, our team is here to help. If you do not have insurance or cannot afford to pay, we will still see you and help you. Lack of insurance or financial hardship should never prevent someone from getting the care they need.

Our Approach

We believe mental health care works best when it is personal, practical, and connected to the rest of your health care. Our behavioral health providers work closely with primary care and other services to support the whole person—not just a diagnosis.

We focus on:

  • Listening first and understanding your situation
  • Creating care plans that make sense for your life
  • Supporting long-term stability and well-being
  • Treating every person with respect and compassion

Behavioral Health Services

Our licensed professionals provide support for a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety, depression, and mood concerns
  • Stress, trauma, and life transitions
  • Substance use and recovery support
  • Behavioral health evaluations and counseling
  • Medication support when appropriate

Services are offered in a safe, welcoming environment, with care plans tailored to your individual needs.

Care Without Barriers

Duval Family Health Center is committed to making behavioral health care accessible. We accept most insurance plans and offer services on a sliding fee scale. If cost is a concern, please talk with us—we will work with you. Our goal is to help, not to turn anyone away.
