Comprehensive Healthcare to Anyone in the Community in Need
Dr. Emil J. Haldey, PharmD
Dr. Emil J. Haldey, PharmD, is a pharmacist with more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and hands-on patient care. He currently leads Medication Services at Duval Family Health Center, where his primary focus is helping uninsured and underserved patients gain reliable access to the medications they need.
Emil began his career in Medical Affairs and went on to hold senior leadership roles at global pharmaceutical companies, including Parke-Davis/Pfizer and Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. During that time, he led national medical teams, worked closely with physicians across the country, and helped establish a Medical Publications Department for Boehringer Ingelheim’s U.S. division. His work has been published in The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
After leaving the pharmaceutical industry, Emil chose to focus on more individualized, patient-centered care. He owned and operated a PCAB-accredited compounding pharmacy, collaborated closely with integrative and functional medicine physicians, and later became a certified Integrative Pharmacy Specialist.
At Duval Family Health Center, Dr. Haldey oversees medication access, coordinates patient assistance programs, and partners with community pharmacies to reduce barriers to care. He also has a particular interest in supporting patients affected by environmental mold exposure, with an emphasis on education, thoughtful medication review, and care coordination. Emil is a Shoemaker Proficiency Partner, trained in evidence-based approaches to mold illness and Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS).
Having personally experienced mold-related illness, Dr. Haldey brings both professional insight and genuine empathy to his work. He is committed to practical, patient-centered care that prioritizes safety, dignity, and long-term health.
