Dorothy Slama, RN

Dorothy Slama, RN serves as Nurse Administrator, and supports the Medical Respite Team, Risk Management, Training, and ADA initiatives.  Dorothy’s non-profit experience includes 15 years with the YMCA as Vice President of Youth Development, Executive Director, National Trainer for the YMCA of the USA, Credentialed Child Care Director and program development consultant for Persons with Developmental Disabilities.  As a nurse with more than 25 years of experience, Dorothy is a C.O.R.E. trained ALF administrator, a Nursing Home Infection Preventionist, and has worked in hospital ICCU, primary and specialty care offices, long term care, rehabilitation, and community health settings.

Dorothy is passionate about supporting every member of the community, and is grateful for the opportunity to lead a talented and dedicated Medical Respite team.
